Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cheboksary's Valentin Kiyashev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Volgograd FC's Ernest Efimovich got a free kick in the 8th minute. Oleg Kudrinskiy made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Stepan Polyakov sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Oleg Kudrinskiy managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Cheboksary's Stepan Polyakov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oleg Kudrinskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stepan Polyakov in the 16th minute of play. Valentin Kiyashev might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oleg Kudrinskiy. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Kiyashev ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute, Martyn Shishmarev ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oleg Kudrinskiy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Denis Kuskov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Valentin Kiyashev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Kiyashev's late challenge caught a Volgograd FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Kiyashev helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cheboksary getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Valentin Kiyashev hit a great ball. If Vladimir Babichev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Volgograd FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Kiyashev came free, but Oleg Kudrinskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Volgograd FC's zone, Stepan Polyakov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oleg Kudrinskiy came out of the goal and Stepan Polyakov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

After having played for 51 minutes, Valentin Kiyashev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cheboksary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Kiyashev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleksey Omelin hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Babichev in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roman Alyakrinskiy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Volgograd FC's Oleg Kudrinskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Kiyashev in the 73rd minute of play. After 77 minutes, Valentin Kiyashev made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Volgograd FC's Oleg Kudrinskiy tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Filipp Formulevich kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Oleg Kudrinskiy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valentin Kiyashev's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. When the match clock showed 82 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Valentin Kiyashev sped through Volgograd FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Oleg Kudrinskiy. 90 minutes into the game, Cheboksary's Valentin Kiyashev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oleg Kudrinskiy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0.
