Vladislav Hodorovs short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Matvey Rubtsov to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matvey Rubtsov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladislav Hodorov in the 6th minute. After a rather tough play, Izhevsk's Veniamin Orlov got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 7th minute, Vladislav Hodorov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Valentin Kamenskiy took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Matvey Rubtsov to make any attempt to save it. If Vladislav Hodorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marat Kotlyarov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yakov Volkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes of play, Vologda's Vladislav Hodorov made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matvey Rubtsov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Izhevsk's Matvey Rubtsov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Izhevsk from getting a goal against them. 24 minutes into the match, Vologda's goal looked a bit too open when Vadim Toschenko came free, but Marat Kotlyarov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladislav Hodorov struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Matvey Rubtsov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vologda. In the 37th minute, Izhevsk's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vladislav Hodorov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Vologda's Vladislav Hodorov got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matvey Rubtsov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladislav Hodorov in the 45th minute. If Vadim Toschenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valentin Kamenskiy to strike the kick off in the second half. Aristarh Ulyashin hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Izhevsk's Aleksandr Knyazev couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 54th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vologda. Valentin Kamenskiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Matvey Rubtsov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valentin Kamenskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matvey Rubtsov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valentin Kamenskiy in the 67th minute of the match. Anton Semiryaga hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After 73 minutes of play, Vologda's Vladislav Hodorov made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matvey Rubtsov was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Yakov Volkov got free with Marat Kotlyarov in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Kamenskiy in the 79th minute of play forced Izhevsk's goalkeeper Matvey Rubtsov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matvey Rubtsov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladislav Hodorov, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Vitaliy Zarudnyi charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitaliy Zarudnyi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Vologda's Vitaliy Zarudnyi got a free kick in the 88th minute. Yakov Volkov might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marat Kotlyarov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yakov Volkov ran back to his position shaking his head. Yakov Volkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marat Kotlyarov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Matvey Rubtsov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladislav Hodorov in the 97th minute of play. Vologda's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
