Petr Ponedelnik ran back to his position shaking his head. Nikita Kleschev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Vladimir Lepeshkevich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergey Tyapochkin during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 16th minute, Sergey Tyapochkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Grigoriy Teleshov. Sergey Savchenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grigoriy Teleshov having to interfere. If Aleksandr Gurkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sergey Savchenko made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Aleksandr Gurkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigoriy Teleshov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 60 minutes, Rostislav Beglov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izhevsk and the Stavropol players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Izhevsk getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Rostislav Beglov hit a great ball. Vladimir Lepeshkevich made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Petr Ponedelnik sent off a good shot on target. If Nikita Kleschev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Vladimir Lepeshkevich successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Petr Ponedelnik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Lepeshkevich having to interfere. Vladimir Lepeshkevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikita Kleschev, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Stavropol players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Izhevsk.
