Ivan Timashov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir Smirnov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanislav Baranov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Vasiliy Zagladin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Kursk FC's Dmitriy Ryabov got a free kick in the 19th minute. Emmanuil Chernov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir Smirnov having to interfere. Murmansk's Vladimir Smirnov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Murmansk from getting a goal against them. Timofey Aksenov might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Denis Leskevich. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timofey Aksenov ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute of the match Vasiliy Anisimov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Denis Leskevich skillfully saved the ball. The Kursk FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Murmansk were winning 0-1.

In the 67thth minute of the game Ivan Timashov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kursk FC's Denis Leskevich was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Vladimir Smirnov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuil Chernov in the 71st minute of the match. The penalty shot was made by Prohor Scherbakov, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Murmansk's Vladimir Smirnov. 2-1. Murmansk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
