Dmitriy Kapustin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikifor Rozmirovich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Berezniki's Petr Bulanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egor Mashnev in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Berezniki booed when Dzerzhinsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigoriy Zhuzhlev didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gennadiy Lagunov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dmitriy Kapustin was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Dzerzhinsk getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Gerasim Beseda hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Dzerzhinsk defense, Gennadiy Lagunov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nikifor Rozmirovich. The Dzerzhinsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nikifor Rozmirovich should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Dmitriy Kapustin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berezniki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Gennadiy Lagunov struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Nikifor Rozmirovich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berezniki. A collision led to Berezniki getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gennadiy Lagunov hit a great ball. Afanasiy Librovich struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Nikifor Rozmirovich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Berezniki. Nikifor Rozmirovich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dmitriy Kapustin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Berezniki were the better team. Berezniki's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
