Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dmitriy Kapustin started the match with the kick off. Petr Bulanov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boris Utkin's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After 4 minutes Berezniki's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stanislav Bragin who took care of the corner kick. In the 6th minute, Andrey Karasev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Dmitriy Kapustin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artem Shtanyuk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gennadiy Lagunov in the 13th minute of play forced Grozny's goalkeeper Artem Shtanyuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Fedor Kalinin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grozny's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fedor Kalinin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th minute Boris Utkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petr Bulanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roman Elpidin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Petr Bulanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Maksim Kaloev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grozny and the Berezniki players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Berezniki booed when Grozny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maksim Kaloev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gennadiy Lagunov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artem Shtanyuk having to make a save. In the 27th minute, Dmitriy Kapustin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berezniki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Grozny's Andrey Karasev shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Petr Bulanov but with some difficulty. 37 minutes into the match, Grozny's Boris Utkin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Petr Bulanov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, Boris Utkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Berezniki's zone, Fedor Kalinin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petr Bulanov came out of the goal and Fedor Kalinin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Boris Utkin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petr Bulanov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice moves Fedor Kalinin could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Petr Bulanov however easily saved by the left post. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boris Utkin to make the kick off. With a little luck, Grozny's Artem Shtanyuk got control of the ball when Gennadiy Lagunov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fedor Kalinin took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petr Bulanov. Petr Bulanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Boris Utkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Petr Bulanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petr Bulanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boris Utkin in the 70th minute of play. Fedor Kalinin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Berezniki's Petr Bulanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boris Utkin in the 73rd minute of play. Boris Utkin struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Petr Bulanov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grozny. After a defensive mix-up in Berezniki's zone, Fedor Kalinin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petr Bulanov came out of the goal and Fedor Kalinin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Berezniki's goal looked a bit too open when Fedor Kalinin came free, but Petr Bulanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grozny's Roman Elpidin suffered a fractured collar bone after 85 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Berezniki's Afanasiy Librovich got a free kick in the 86th minute. Fedor Kalinin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petr Bulanov having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Berezniki was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rustam Taushev to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Fedor Kalinin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grozny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
