After a rather tough play, Yakutsk's Lev Degtyarev got a free kick in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Yakutsk's goal looked a bit too open when Timofey Mehelin came free, but Filimon Vestov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filimon Vestov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timofey Mehelin in the 21st minute of the match. The referee gave Lev Degtyarev a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Yakutsk getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lev Degtyarev hit a great ball. German Abalakin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filimon Vestov. Yakutsk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Filimon Vestov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elisey Milaschenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Boris Adrianov hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elisey Milaschenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ernest Alferov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afanasiy Panfilov in the 61st minute of the match. Afanasiy Panfilov might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernest Alferov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afanasiy Panfilov ran back to his position shaking his head. Viktor Suleshov's late challenge caught a Maykop's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Yakutsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Grigoriy Dolgih was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Alferov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filimon Vestov made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Timofey Mehelin sent off a good shot on target. Timofey Mehelin might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filimon Vestov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timofey Mehelin ran back to his position shaking his head. If Timofey Mehelin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Grigoriy Dolgih hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Boris Adrianov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yakutsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maykop the free kick. After having played for 83 minutes, Afanasiy Panfilov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yakutsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afanasiy Panfilov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Elisey Milaschenko came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Maykop fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elisey Milaschenko couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, Yakutsk's goal looked a bit too open when Elisey Milaschenko came free, but Filimon Vestov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yakutsk's Afanasiy Panfilov got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yakutsk were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Maykop to leave the ground with a draw.
