The tension between the Vladikavkaz FC and the Yaroslavl HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vitaliy Harlamov kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Evgeniy Severin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Nikolaev in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Baldakov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Vladikavkaz FC booed when Yaroslavl HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantin Kirillov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Veniamin Bashmet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yaroslavl HC's Viktor Baldakov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Sergey Adamishin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vyacheslav Shapalov, 1-0. Veniamin Bashmet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Anton Nikolaev, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 32 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Viktor Baldakov was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Veniamin Bashmet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Baldakov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Vladikavkaz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evgeniy Severin came free, but Vyacheslav Shapalov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 played minutes Vladikavkaz FC got a freekick which was hit by Vitaliy Harlamov. Viktor Baldakov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veniamin Bashmet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Veniamin Bashmet ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evgeniy Severin in the 74th minute of play forced Vladikavkaz FC's goalkeeper Vyacheslav Shapalov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vitaliy Harlamov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Baldakov having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Oleg Kizimovskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viktor Baldakov stood somewhat misplaced when Anton Nikolaev came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 81 minute. Gennadiy Akopyan charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gennadiy Akopyan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oleg Bogatskiy ran over to the corner to take the kick. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
