A collision led to Balashikha FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Vadim Andreev hit a great ball. Vasiliy Meshkov struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Gennadiy Bukievskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoshkar-Ola. Osip Shepel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Gennadiy Bukievskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vasiliy Meshkov struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Gennadiy Bukievskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoshkar-Ola. After 20 played minutes Yoshkar-Ola got a freekick which was hit by Albert Shemberas. Andrey Gorchhanov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eldar Frolov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Yoshkar-Ola's Vasiliy Meshkov got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Balashikha FC's zone, Osip Shepel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gennadiy Bukievskiy came out of the goal and Osip Shepel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gennadiy Bukievskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osip Shepel in the 40th minute of the match. Gennadiy Bukievskiy made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Vasiliy Meshkov sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th match minute, Yoshkar-Ola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georgiy Pristavkin to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osip Shepel made a kick off. Osip Shepel struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gennadiy Bukievskiy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yoshkar-Ola. 53 minutes into the match, Balashikha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osip Shepel came free, but Gennadiy Bukievskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vasiliy Meshkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Belyavskiy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eldar Frolov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Osip Shepel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gennadiy Bukievskiy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Vasiliy Meshkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vasiliy Meshkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasiliy Meshkov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gennadiy Bukievskiy having to make a save. Osip Shepel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Gennadiy Bukievskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 minutes of play, Yoshkar-Ola's Vasiliy Meshkov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gennadiy Bukievskiy was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Egor Stepanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yoshkar-Ola were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Balashikha FC to leave the ground with a draw.
