After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Roman Beluhin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taganrog FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Beluhin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dmitriy Zhandarov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dmitriy Zhandarov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Beluhin, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Yaroslav Zavedeev struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Felix Haritonov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vladimir HC. A collision led to Taganrog FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Anatoliy Fedoseev hit a great ball. Yaroslav Zavedeev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Haritonov having to interfere. Felix Haritonov was a little too slow when Ernest Vilonov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 35th minute Vitaliy Zheleznov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dmitriy Zhandarov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dmitriy Zhandarov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roman Beluhin in the 38th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Taganrog FC booed when Vladimir HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniil Bashlykov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th minute of the match Stanislav Nekrasov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dmitriy Zhandarov showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaroslav Zavedeev in the 55th minute of play forced Taganrog FC's goalkeeper Felix Haritonov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Taganrog FC's Felix Haritonov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaroslav Zavedeev in the 59th minute of play. Dmitriy Zhandarov was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Beluhin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 63 minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Vitaliy Zheleznov could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Dmitriy Zhandarov however easily saved by the left post. Taganrog FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Stanislav Nekrasov in the 73rd minute. Valeriy Sperantov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Haritonov having to interfere. Vitaliy Zheleznov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Dmitriy Zhandarov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vitaliy Zheleznov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the match, Taganrog FC's Roman Beluhin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dmitriy Zhandarov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Vitaliy Zheleznov came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Taganrog FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitaliy Zheleznov couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valeriy Sperantov in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Haritonov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
