Georgiy Tatarchuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ippolit Zelenyuk in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Semen Fokin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aleksandr Kanulin. Moscow's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Semen Fokin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Astrakhan FC's Georgiy Tatarchuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ippolit Zelenyuk in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Astrakhan FC's zone, Arkadiy Bolotov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georgiy Tatarchuk came out of the goal and Arkadiy Bolotov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Varlam Papaev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Aleksandr Kanulin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ippolit Zelenyuk to strike the kick off in the second half. Aleksandr Kanulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semen Fokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Semen Fokin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. The Astrakhan FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Moscow's performance. The match ended with a win for Moscow.
