An unexpectedly hard shot by Yulian Fionov in the 23rd minute of play forced Novy Urengoy HC's goalkeeper Pavel Aksakov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danila Vestov to strike the kick off in the second half. Anatoliy Shabunin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute Danila Vestov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vsevolod Abdulazizov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Timofey Popov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Novy Urengoy HC's goalkeeper Pavel Aksakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Ulyashin. Novy Urengoy HC's Pavel Aksakov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timofey Popov in the 66th minute of play. In the 68thth minute of the game Danila Vestov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seversk's Vsevolod Abdulazizov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danila Vestov got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 72 minutes into the match, Seversk's Felix Ulyashin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pavel Aksakov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Seversk got a freekick which was hit by Felix Ulyashin. 80 minutes into the match, Yulian Fionov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pavel Aksakov, 1-2. The supporters of Novy Urengoy HC booed when Seversk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timofey Popov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Konstantin Zaitsev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anatoliy Shabunin came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Novy Urengoy HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatoliy Shabunin couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Novy Urengoy HC's goalkeeper Pavel Aksakov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timofey Popov. Seversk's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
