In the 12th minute of the match, Sergey Izmailov tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vasiliy Moiseev saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stepan Aguzarov kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. German Prohorov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Gaush having to interfere. Vladislav Baikovskiy's late challenge caught a Cherepovets FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladislav Baikovskiy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Vladislav Baikovskiy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ippolit Markov hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kaluga FC booed when Cherepovets FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladimir Zozulin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Sergey Izmailov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaluga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergey Izmailov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, Sergey Izmailov fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Stepan Aguzarov kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir Zozulin in the 45th minute of play forced Kaluga FC's goalkeeper Vyacheslav Gaush to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vyacheslav Gaush didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vladimir Zozulin went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergey Izmailov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Kaluga FC's goalkeeper Vyacheslav Gaush had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stepan Aguzarov. Vasiliy Moiseev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergey Izmailov in the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cherepovets FC's goalkeeper Vasiliy Moiseev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 65 minutes into the match, Cherepovets FC's German Prohorov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vyacheslav Gaush narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sergey Izmailov in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vasiliy Moiseev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Danila Hantinskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vyacheslav Gaush made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when German Prohorov sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Kaluga FC's Ippolit Markov got a free kick in the 87th minute. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Cherepovets FC's Vladimir Zozulin in the 88th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Vyacheslav Gaush was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Kaluga FC through an amazing save. Kaluga FC's Vyacheslav Gaush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Zozulin in the 91st minute of play. German Prohorov struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Vyacheslav Gaush didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cherepovets FC. German Prohorov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Vyacheslav Gaush made a huge save. Vyacheslav Gaush was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and German Prohorov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. German Prohorov really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Vasiliy Moiseev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergey Izmailov's shot from short distance in the 98th minute.
