Kaluga FC's Danila Hantinskiy got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kaluga FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vladislav Baikovskiy hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Stepan Ilyushin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vyacheslav Gaush was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Igor Bodrenin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Igor Bodrenin really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The attack was good, but when Igor Bodrenin in the 29th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Vladimir Shilov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danila Hantinskiy's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaluga FC's goalkeeper Vyacheslav Gaush, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vyacheslav Gaush showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Bodrenin in the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, Kaluga FC's Vyacheslav Gaush got control of the ball when Stepan Ilyushin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Igor Bodrenin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Gaush having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergey Izmailov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Pskov FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Kaluga FC's Vyacheslav Gaush played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stepan Ilyushin in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, Kaluga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladislav Baikovskiy to maneuver through the defense. Igor Bodrenin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Pskov FC's Stepan Ilyushin in 77 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vyacheslav Gaush guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Vladislav Baikovskiy fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaluga FC's protests and gave Vladislav Baikovskiy a yellow card for diving instead. Igor Bodrenin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vyacheslav Gaush having to interfere.
