The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Ivan Avrutskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oleg Belskih was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Avrutskiy in the 17th minute of play forced Orel's goalkeeper Oleg Belskih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Viktor Revinskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Nevinnomyssk's Aleksandr Vyun got control of the ball when Timofey Ershov tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Nevinnomyssk's zone, Stanislav Voitik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksandr Vyun came out of the goal and Stanislav Voitik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stanislav Voitik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Orel booed when Nevinnomyssk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matvey Chuvilev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59thth minute of the game Stanislav Voitik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nevinnomyssk's Aleksandr Vyun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Timofey Ershov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orel's supporters rose to their feet, but Timofey Ershov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksandr Vyun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Avrutskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Timofey Ershov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Nevinnomyssk getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Roman Nudatov hit a great ball. Stanislav Voitik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Vyun having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timofey Ershov in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aleksandr Vyun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Timofey Ershov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Vyun having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Viktor Revinskiy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Oleg Belskih, 0-3. Evgeniy Molev kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Stanislav Voitik struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Aleksandr Vyun didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orel. A collision led to Nevinnomyssk getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Aleksandr Boldin hit a great ball.
