Igor Agapov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khimki's Platon Lanovoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Khimki from getting a goal against them. If Vladislav Eremin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes in the game, Mark Zinovev fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Platon Lanovoy having to interfere. If Igor Agapov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Gorshkov's late challenge caught a Khimki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filimon Meichik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Khimki's goal looked a bit too open when Vladislav Eremin came free, but Platon Lanovoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th match minute, Sterlitamak FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Bauman to maneuver through the defense. Filimon Meichik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gennadiy Reshetnev having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Filimon Meichik sped through Sterlitamak FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gennadiy Reshetnev. In the 72nd minute, Gavriil Skobelev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Filimon Meichik fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gennadiy Reshetnev, passed just outside the right post. Igor Agapov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Gennadiy Reshetnev made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Filimon Meichik took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Gennadiy Reshetnev to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Igor Agapov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Khimki's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Agapov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gennadiy Reshetnev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gennadiy Reshetnev made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Igor Agapov sent off a good shot on target. If Igor Agapov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mark Zinovev in the 95th minute of play forced Khimki's goalkeeper Platon Lanovoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lev Molchanov's late challenge caught a Khimki's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lev Molchanov helped the player get up and apologised. Lev Molchanov kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Timur Vylegzhanin in the 98th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Gennadiy Reshetnev's left hand side. The Khimki players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
