After 4 played minutes Volgograd got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Grinkov. When Nikita Ramskiy came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Blagoveshchensk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikita Ramskiy couldn't finish the play. Viktor Panskov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolf Aksenov in the 7th minute of play. After 9 played minutes Blagoveshchensk got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Molchanov. After recieving a nice pass, Volgograd's Pavel Grinkov tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Oleg Molchanov fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blagoveshchensk's protests and gave Oleg Molchanov a yellow card for diving instead. Blagoveshchensk:s Felix Borisov showed great skill when he stopped Pavel Grinkov:s penalty. In the 15th minute, Pavel Grinkov made a precise shot to the right of Felix Borisov. Blagoveshchensk's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Aleksandr Suzin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 27 minutes, Adolf Aksenov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blagoveshchensk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolf Aksenov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Semen Tetekin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Felix Borisov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Danila Borovikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolf Aksenov struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Viktor Panskov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blagoveshchensk. 46 minutes into the game, Adolf Aksenov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Viktor Panskov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleksandr Suzin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aleksandr Suzin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Felix Borisov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Varfolomey Sytnikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Borisov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aleksandr Suzin in the 63rd minute of play. Yakov Krestovskiy's late challenge caught a Volgograd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yakov Krestovskiy helped the player get up and apologised. After 63 played minutes Blagoveshchensk got a freekick which was hit by Yakov Krestovskiy. Danila Borovikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksandr Suzin in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felix Borisov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aleksandr Suzin struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Felix Borisov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volgograd. If Danila Borovikov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84thth minute of the game Aleksandr Suzin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blagoveshchensk's Felix Borisov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksandr Suzin in the 88th minute of play forced Blagoveshchensk's goalkeeper Felix Borisov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Timofey Yakunin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Viktor Panskov. That made the score 1-2 in the 90 minute of play. Adolf Aksenov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Viktor Panskov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Adolf Aksenov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Blagoveshchensk walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
