Maksim Chistov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Murmansk FC's Aleksey Mamontov slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of German Kanatakuzin. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lev Shagarov during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Armavir FC's Lev Shagarov got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Maksim Chistov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. German Kanatakuzin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aleksey Mamontov went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Klim Garnysh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yuriy Chapurin went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Aleksey Mamontov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute Aleksey Mamontov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Kanatakuzin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Klim Dovlatov's late challenge caught a Armavir FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klim Dovlatov helped the player get up and apologised. The audience held their breath when Irakliy Ryzhov in the 36th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Klim Garnysh's left hand side. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Armavir FC's goalkeeper German Kanatakuzin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Aleksey Mamontov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of German Kanatakuzin, 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yuriy Chapurin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Armavir FC booed when Murmansk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Mikulskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute of the match Irakliy Ryzhov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Klim Garnysh skillfully saved the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Klim Garnysh successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Armavir FC's Vasiliy Abdrakhmanov suffered a concussion after 63 minutes and had to leave the field. Maksim Chistov hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Murmansk FC's Maksim Chistov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that German Kanatakuzin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maksim Chistov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. German Kanatakuzin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Kanatakuzin was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aleksey Mamontov in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck German Kanatakuzin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute, Maksim Chistov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. German Kanatakuzin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Maksim Chistov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without German Kanatakuzin having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Murmansk FC's Aleksey Mamontov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. German Kanatakuzin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Murmansk FC fully deserved thier win.
