Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Georgiy Dokukin made the kick off which started today's match. Rostislav Legkiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Mark Basatin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rostislav Legkiy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksey Tretyakov hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Rubtsovsk's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Kalashnikov came free, but Vsevolod Ignatov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rostislav Legkiy in the 19th minute of play forced Shahty's goalkeeper Mark Basatin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georgiy Dokukin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Basatin having to interfere. Mark Basatin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rostislav Legkiy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Basatin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rostislav Legkiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Vsevolod Ignatov made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Anton Birman sent off a good shot on target. When Aleksey Komendantskiy came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Shahty fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aleksey Komendantskiy couldn't finish the play. Anton Birman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Basatin came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Rubtsovsk's Rostislav Legkiy. But to his dismay, Rostislav Legkiy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Anton Birman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vsevolod Ignatov having to interfere. Mark Basatin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georgiy Dokukin in the 49th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pavel Kalashnikov was the one to do the kick off. When Vyacheslav Vostrikov fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shahty's protests and gave Vyacheslav Vostrikov a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Shahty getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Vyacheslav Vostrikov hit a great ball. Rostislav Legkiy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aleksey Komendantskiy during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70thth minute of the game Georgiy Dokukin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shahty's Mark Basatin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Shahty's Mark Basatin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Shahty from getting a goal against them. Pavel Kalashnikov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vsevolod Ignatov having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Pavel Shelepin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rostislav Legkiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Georgiy Dokukin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rostislav Legkiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rubtsovsk's Rostislav Legkiy got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. During the 99th minute of the match Aleksey Komendantskiy completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aleksey Komendantskiy a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Shahty getting a freekick after 100 minutes play. Aleksey Komendantskiy hit a great ball. The Rubtsovsk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rubtsovsk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
