Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sergey Pisklov took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marat Manoshkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduard Egorov in the 3rd minute. Oleg Emelin took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Igor Krivobokov. Igor Krivobokov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Nalchik defense, Ivan Petuhov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Krivobokov. The Nalchik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Krivobokov should have stopped the shot. Oleg Emelin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oleg Emelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Krivobokov having to make a save. Damir Zinovev kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Smolensk FC's Sergey Patrasenko couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 14th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nalchik. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oleg Emelin in the 17th minute of play forced Nalchik's goalkeeper Igor Krivobokov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marat Manoshkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergey Pisklov in the 19th minute of play. Marat Manoshkin was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Grigoriy Belovol. Eduard Egorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Marat Manoshkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marat Manoshkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduard Egorov in the 36th minute. After 43 played minutes Nalchik got a freekick which was hit by Leonid Asimov. After 47 played minutes Nalchik got a freekick which was hit by Damir Zinovev. 48 minutes into the match, Smolensk FC's Sergey Patrasenko broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivan Petuhov to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Rudolf Rasshivalin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Krivobokov skillfully saved the ball. After 55 minutes, Felix Fedun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nalchik and the Smolensk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Nalchik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Fedun to maneuver through the defense. Damir Zinovev kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Ivan Petuhov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Smolensk FC's Marat Manoshkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Egorov in the 61st minute of play. A collision led to Smolensk FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Sergey Kosinskiy hit a great ball. If Sergey Pisklov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Eduard Egorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Sergey Pisklov came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Nalchik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergey Pisklov couldn't finish the play. After having played for 75 minutes, Sergey Pisklov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nalchik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergey Pisklov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleksandr Baryshnikov charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aleksandr Baryshnikov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 78 played minutes Smolensk FC got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandr Baryshnikov. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Eduard Egorov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nalchik's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduard Egorov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marat Manoshkin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marat Manoshkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergey Pisklov in the 83rd minute of play. Smolensk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nalchik the free kick. Sergey Patrasenko kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Smolensk FC's Marat Manoshkin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergey Pisklov in the 96th minute of play. The Nalchik supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Smolensk FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Smolensk FC.
