The referee ignored Nalchik's protests and gave Irakliy Skoch a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Nalchik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irakliy Skoch to maneuver through the defense. After 81 played minutes Irkutsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonid Utekhin. 85 minutes into the match, Irkutsk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergey Pisklov came free, but Vasiliy Krivolesov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vasiliy Krivolesov was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nalchik eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
