Izhevsk FC's Mikhail Mischihin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Izhevsk FC from getting a goal against them. Artem Pantyuhin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pahom Trofimov in the 43rd minute of play. Rostislav Nigmatullin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Mikhail Mischihin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rostislav Nigmatullin was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Surgut's Artem Pantyuhin got control of the ball when Pahom Trofimov tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Grigoriy Smertin fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surgut's protests and gave Grigoriy Smertin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Surgut was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigoriy Smertin to maneuver through the defense. Mikhail Mischihin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rostislav Nigmatullin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Izhevsk FC's Mikhail Mischihin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rostislav Nigmatullin in the 75th minute of play. Pahom Trofimov struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Artem Pantyuhin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izhevsk FC. Surgut's Artem Pantyuhin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Surgut from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute Pavel Mamonov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artem Pantyuhin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pahom Trofimov took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artem Pantyuhin. Artem Pantyuhin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Artem Morfessi's late challenge caught a Surgut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artem Morfessi helped the player get up and apologised. Artem Morfessi kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rostislav Nigmatullin in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mikhail Mischihin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Rostislav Nigmatullin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grigoriy Smertin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Izhevsk FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Izhevsk FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
