The referee showed Evgeniy Zinovev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Evgeniy Zinovev hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. If Vladislav Lisov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 minutes, Fedor Sazonov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rostov-on-Don and the Pyatigorsk FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rostov-on-Don succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Pyatigorsk FC had controlled the match.
