Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) When Fedor Zakharov fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Izhevsk's protests and gave Fedor Zakharov a yellow card for diving instead. When Afanasiy Osipov came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ulyanovsk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afanasiy Osipov couldn't finish the play. Izhevsk's Felix Harlachev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anatoliy Bashilov in the 9th minute of play. Felix Harlachev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afanasiy Osipov in the 13th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Afanasiy Osipov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Harlachev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yaroslav Gdalevich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikhail Vinogradov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anatoliy Bashilov struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Felix Harlachev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ulyanovsk FC. In the 17th minute Anatoliy Bashilov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Harlachev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ulyanovsk FC's Mark Sakhautdinov got a free kick in the 21st minute. Mikhail Vinogradov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Yaroslav Gdalevich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Harlachev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afanasiy Osipov went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Nikolay Kopylov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Ulyanovsk FC's Yaroslav Gdalevich got control of the ball when Nikolay Kopylov tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Izhevsk getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Sergey Lychagin hit a great ball. Felix Harlachev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoliy Bashilov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The wind increased when Mikhail Vinogradov made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikolay Kopylov in the 53rd minute of play forced Ulyanovsk FC's goalkeeper Yaroslav Gdalevich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikolay Kopylov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afanasiy Osipov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. The supporters of Ulyanovsk FC booed when Izhevsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedor Zakharov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Izhevsk's Felix Harlachev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Izhevsk from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Ulyanovsk FC's Afanasiy Osipov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Harlachev narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Danila Dobropolskiy hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Anatoliy Bashilov kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felix Harlachev. That made the score 1-3 in the 91 minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ulyanovsk FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
