Andron Volgin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Saveliy Kalashnikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andron Volgin got free with Saveliy Kalashnikov in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denis Safonov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Emmanuil Bakhtin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rustam Kovalev having to interfere. When Denis Safonov came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Vologda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denis Safonov couldn't finish the play. Denis Safonov might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rustam Kovalev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Denis Safonov ran back to his position shaking his head. Andron Volgin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Vologda getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kirill Medvedkov hit a great ball. Saveliy Kalashnikov was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Artem Gorbunov. If Boris Rudenskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nikita Konovalov kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Vologda got a freekick which was hit by Kirill Medvedkov. A long shot from Artem Gorbunov in the 44th minute of play was well struck, but Saveliy Kalashnikov made a really good save at the right post. Boris Rudenskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saveliy Kalashnikov having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rustam Kovalev made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Emmanuil Bakhtin sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Kolomna's zone, Emmanuil Bakhtin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rustam Kovalev came out of the goal and Emmanuil Bakhtin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 65 played minutes Kolomna got a freekick which was hit by Kirill Panin. In the 66th minute, Semen Alenichev sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kolomna's Rustam Kovalev didn't even have to move. In the 67th match minute, Kolomna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kirill Panin to maneuver through the defense. Emmanuil Bakhtin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rustam Kovalev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Safonov in the 74th minute of the match. After 85 played minutes, Kolomna's Artem Gorbunov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Saveliy Kalashnikov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kolomna reached it. Rustam Kovalev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Safonov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Vologda's Semen Alenichev got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Kirill Medvedkov hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
