Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ivan Babka started the match with the kick off. Kirill Medvedkov hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Rubtsovsk's Eduard Paristyi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ivan Babka struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Saveliy Kalashnikov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rubtsovsk. In the 12th minute Denis Safonov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timofey Sholom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute Samuil Sytsinskiy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saveliy Kalashnikov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saveliy Kalashnikov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Babka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasiliy Frolov hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vologda booed when Rubtsovsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vadim Karmadonov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vologda's Emmanuil Bakhtin got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Safonov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timofey Sholom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Vologda's Emmanuil Bakhtin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Timofey Sholom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Timofey Sholom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denis Safonov, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Denis Safonov made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Rubtsovsk's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Safonov came free, but Timofey Sholom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emmanuil Bakhtin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Timofey Sholom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Safonov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Vologda booed when Rubtsovsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuil Sytsinskiy didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Samuil Sytsinskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rubtsovsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuil Sytsinskiy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saveliy Kalashnikov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Babka in the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play, Vologda's Denis Safonov made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timofey Sholom was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denis Safonov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute, Ivan Babka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vologda fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rubtsovsk had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
