Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gerasim Kuprin got the match started through his kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Emmanuil Balyazin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khasavyurt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmanuil Balyazin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Nikita Uspenskiy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Emmanuil Balyazin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gerasim Kuprin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrey Botvinnikov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerasim Kuprin in the 21st minute of play. Viktor Malyuchenko kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Nikita Uspenskiy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lev Dmitriev's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. When Irkutsk HC's Aleksandr Garmash in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Khasavyurt's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Khasavyurt's goalkeeper Andrey Botvinnikov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Aleksandr Garmash managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irkutsk HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aleksandr Garmash was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrey Botvinnikov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lev Dmitriev made a kick off. Irkutsk HC's Nikita Uspenskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuil Balyazin in the 54th minute of play. Konstantin Gorbachev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikita Uspenskiy having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Khasavyurt's zone, Aleksandr Garmash stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrey Botvinnikov came out of the goal and Aleksandr Garmash tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerasim Kuprin got in the 62nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Andrey Botvinnikov handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. When Konstantin Gorbachev fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Khasavyurt's protests and gave Konstantin Gorbachev a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Khasavyurt getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Konstantin Gorbachev hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Irkutsk HC's Aleksandr Garmash sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andrey Botvinnikov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Gerasim Kuprin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lev Dmitriev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nikita Uspenskiy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lev Dmitriev in the 75th minute of the match. Gerasim Kuprin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Andrey Botvinnikov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lev Dmitriev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikita Uspenskiy having to interfere. Andrey Botvinnikov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerasim Kuprin in the 87th minute of play. Aleksandr Garmash sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Irkutsk HC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
