After a defensive mix-up in Khasavyurt's zone, Kirill Cherkin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrey Botvinnikov came out of the goal and Kirill Cherkin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Engels FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Oleg Kozyrev hit a great ball. Emmanuil Balyazin struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Arnold Chernushkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Khasavyurt. When Vadim Volosov fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Engels FC's protests and gave Vadim Volosov a yellow card for diving instead. Vadim Volosov kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Arnold Chernushkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuil Balyazin in the 49th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. Andrey Botvinnikov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oleg Kozyrev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emmanuil Balyazin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Khasavyurt's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Lev Dmitriev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Lev Isakov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Khasavyurt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Engels FC the free kick. In the 74th minute, Lev Isakov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Engels FC's Arnold Chernushkin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Engels FC from getting a goal against them.
