If Timofey Sokol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrey Afonchenko kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. When Elektrostal FC's Yuriy Agapov in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vologda's goalie prevented a goal. If Yuriy Agapov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Viktor Arshavin hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 13th match minute, Elektrostal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergey Adler to maneuver through the defense. Kirill Gutkin struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Danila Boyarintsev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vologda. When Yuriy Agapov came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Elektrostal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuriy Agapov couldn't finish the play. Danila Boyarintsev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rudolf Berezov in the 19th minute. Kirill Gutkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danila Boyarintsev having to interfere. Rudolf Berezov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Danila Boyarintsev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Elektrostal FC's goalkeeper Danila Boyarintsev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kirill Gutkin. Aleksandr Brum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuriy Agapov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Timofey Sokol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aleksandr Brum was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. When Pavel Kondratiev fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elektrostal FC's protests and gave Pavel Kondratiev a yellow card for diving instead. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Elektrostal FC! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuriy Agapov to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Elektrostal FC's goalkeeper Danila Boyarintsev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kirill Gutkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuriy Agapov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksandr Brum having to interfere. Konstantin Talantov charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantin Talantov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vologda booed when Elektrostal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konstantin Talantov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danila Boyarintsev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kirill Gutkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. A collision led to Elektrostal FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Askold Lomakin hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Vologda's Anatoliy Boyarchikov broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Elektrostal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rudolf Berezov came free, but Danila Boyarintsev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Askold Lomakin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elektrostal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vologda the free kick. A collision led to Elektrostal FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Askold Lomakin hit a great ball. 81 minutes into the match, Rudolf Berezov notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Elektrostal FC's Danila Boyarintsev. Danila Boyarintsev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 86 minutes into the match, Vologda's goal looked a bit too open when Yuriy Agapov came free, but Aleksandr Brum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Vologda got a freekick which was hit by Grigoriy Lazarevskiy. After a defensive mix-up in Vologda's zone, Konstantin Talantov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aleksandr Brum came out of the goal and Konstantin Talantov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Viktor Arshavin fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elektrostal FC's protests and gave Viktor Arshavin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 95th minute, Viktor Arshavin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
