With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pavel Rubashkin in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danila Baburin saved Elista FC from getting behind. In the 4th minute Danila Barabolya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danila Baburin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nil Alekseenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Denis Akulenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danila Baburin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danila Barabolya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafim Belozerov during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Elista FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Serafim Belozerov hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Anton Eremin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Akulenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 minutes, Nikita Gordeev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elista FC and the Voronezh FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Voronezh FC booed when Elista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nikita Gordeev didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Voronezh FC's Pavel Rubashkin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danila Baburin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denis Akulenko made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Anton Eremin sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Pavel Rubashkin made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Anton Eremin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Akulenko was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. Elista FC's Anton Eremin got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denis Akulenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nil Alekseenko in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nil Alekseenko in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Akulenko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Danila Baburin was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Pavel Rubashkin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pavel Rubashkin really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Voronezh FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
