Vasiliy Tsibulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Egor Borodyuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dmitriy Bapov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernest Bezukhov in the 12th minute. Ernest Bezukhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vasiliy Tsibulin was the one to do the kick off. Yuriy Taishev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dmitriy Bapov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dmitriy Bapov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Bezukhov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes, Leonid Huramshin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Blagoveshchensk and the Serpukhov FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Blagoveshchensk getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Yuriy Taishev might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dmitriy Bapov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yuriy Taishev ran back to his position shaking his head. 96 minutes into the game, Aleksey Stolyarov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Egor Borodyuk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
