Stepan Grishkov came out of the goal and Ernest Bezukhov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dmitriy Zeldich charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dmitriy Zeldich the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Elista FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dmitriy Zeldich to maneuver through the defense. Anton Baskakov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stepan Grishkov. Elista FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stepan Grishkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuriy Taishev in the 22nd minute of play. Ernest Bezukhov struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Stepan Grishkov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Serpukhov FC. If Yuriy Taishev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes, Ilya Frolovskiy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Serpukhov FC and the Elista FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rdth minute of the game Maksim Gurev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Serpukhov FC's Egor Borodyuk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ernest Bezukhov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yuriy Taishev was the one to do the kick off. Ernest Bezukhov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Grishkov having to interfere. Maksim Gurev took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Egor Borodyuk. Egor Borodyuk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 65th minute, Andrey Makhalin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anton Baskakov came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Serpukhov FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Baskakov couldn't finish the play. Ernest Bezukhov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Grishkov having to interfere. Aleksandr Bryunin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egor Borodyuk having to interfere. Yuriy Taishev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Stepan Grishkov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute Yuriy Taishev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stepan Grishkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Dmitriy Zeldich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Serpukhov FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Serpukhov FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Elista FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
