Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Artem Metrikin started the match with the kick off. Konstantin Safonov hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Artem Metrikin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sergey Bozenenkov. The goal made the score 1-0. Konstantin Shevchenko in the 15thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergey Bozenenkov, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bryansk's Lev Kashtalinskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantin Safonov in the 17th minute of play. Prokl Ligachev's late challenge caught a Astrakhan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prokl Ligachev helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bryansk's Prokl Ligachev got a free kick in the 17th minute. Bryansk's Lev Kashtalinskiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Miheev in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Bryansk's zone, Konstantin Safonov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lev Kashtalinskiy came out of the goal and Konstantin Safonov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduard Miheev during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 26 played minutes Astrakhan got a freekick which was hit by Eduard Miheev. During the 29th minute of the match Prokl Ligachev completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Prokl Ligachev a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 30th match minute, Bryansk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prokl Ligachev to maneuver through the defense. Lev Kashtalinskiy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Konstantin Safonov went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 46 minutes of play, Astrakhan's Efim Holuev made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lev Kashtalinskiy was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Bryansk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Astrakhan were winning 1-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduard Miheev to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Eduard Miheev kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lev Kashtalinskiy. That made the score 1-4 in the 53 minute of play. Eduard Miheev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes Bryansk got a freekick which was hit by Afanasiy Stepanov. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Konstantin Safonov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lev Kashtalinskiy made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Konstantin Safonov sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Bryansk's zone, Eduard Miheev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lev Kashtalinskiy came out of the goal and Eduard Miheev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eduard Miheev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Lev Kashtalinskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Konstantin Safonov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lev Kashtalinskiy having to interfere. Eduard Miheev was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduard Miheev in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lev Kashtalinskiy saved Bryansk from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anatoliy Yablonskiy during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Bryansk got a freekick which was hit by Anatoliy Yablonskiy. In the 91st minute, Astrakhan's Eduard Miheev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Konstantin Safonovs short, quick shot in the 96thth minute got Lev Kashtalinskiy to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Astrakhan played a much better game than Bryansk and deserved their victory. The Bryansk players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
