Eldar Aksenov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danil Petrushechkin in the 16th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Shahty's German Kuznetsov threw himself towards the right post 25 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Danila Akulin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 28 minutes into the game, Danil Petrushechkin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Eldar Aksenov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 36th minute, Sergey Kontsevich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eldar Aksenov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danil Petrushechkin in the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danila Akulin to strike the kick off in the second half. Dmitriy Kanivets kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 55th minute Danila Akulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Kuznetsov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Danila Akulin, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The German Kuznetsov was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Shahty's Eldar Aksenov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danil Petrushechkin in the 67th minute of play. If Danil Petrushechkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danila Akulin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. German Kuznetsov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Danila Akulin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shahty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danila Akulin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute, Danil Petrushechkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rustam Semakin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danil Petrushechkin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Eldar Aksenov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergey Kontsevich hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Eldar Aksenov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danil Petrushechkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
