Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Saint Petersburg's Maksim Miheev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vitaliy Ivchenko hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The Bataysk FC fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Bataysk FC's Viktor Shengeliya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dmitriy Kopylov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st match minute, Saint Petersburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Holmogorov to maneuver through the defense. If Viktor Shengeliya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Shengeliya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Aleksandr Pipin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirill Prudkovskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Moiseev having to interfere. Viktor Shengeliya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dmitriy Kopylov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Aleksandr Pipin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dmitriy Kopylov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Saint Petersburg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Bataysk FC were winning 0-1.
When Dmitriy Kopylov came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Bataysk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dmitriy Kopylov couldn't finish the play. In the last second Aleksandr Pipin throw himself and got hold of the ball when Viktor Shengeliya in the 63rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Mikhail Moiseev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maksim Miheev in the 69th minute of play. Maksim Miheev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Mikhail Moiseev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Bataysk FC's Viktor Shengeliya dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Shengeliya in the 83rd minute of play forced Saint Petersburg's goalkeeper Aleksandr Pipin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84thth minute of the game Maksim Miheev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bataysk FC's Mikhail Moiseev was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saint Petersburg's goalkeeper Aleksandr Pipin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bataysk FC played a much better game than Saint Petersburg and deserved their victory. The Saint Petersburg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
