The coaching staff of Zhukovsky HC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ivan Borodyuk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 9th minute, one of Zhukovsky HC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zhukovsky HC. When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Arzamas FC's Denis Arkatov got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Evgeniy Skorospelov. An unexpected shot in the 19th minute by Anton Virehovskiy got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vladislav Ignashevich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemiy Lesin, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Evgeniy Skorospelov acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 26th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Denis Arkatov. Timofey Komarov hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Boris Beloselskiy's late challenge caught a Zhukovsky HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Evgeniy Skorospelov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Virehovskiy in the 75th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemiy Lesin got free with Vladislav Ignashevich in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vladislav Ignashevich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artemiy Lesin in the 97th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arzamas FC had won after a very even match.
