In the 14thth minute of the game Emmanuil Sidorov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Orsk's Sevastyan Kirshanin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Viktor Andreenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sevastyan Kirshanin was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Izhevsk's Oleg Mostovoy got a free kick in the 21st minute. Sevastyan Kirshanin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmanuil Sidorov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sevastyan Kirshanin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Stanislav Gorlanov was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes had been played. The supporters of Izhevsk booed when Orsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislav Gorlanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sevastyan Kirshanin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Andreenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Izhevsk's zone, Prokl Bondarev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikhail Fedorinov came out of the goal and Prokl Bondarev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prokl Bondarev to make the kick off. Mikhail Fedorinov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Prokl Bondarev in the 52nd minute of the match. Prokl Bondarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Kapustin hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Viktor Andreenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Sevastyan Kirshanin made a huge save. Emmanuil Sidorov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sevastyan Kirshanin having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Filimon Gubkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filimon Gubkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Prokl Bondarev cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mikhail Fedorinov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Prokl Bondarev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mikhail Fedorinov having to interfere. Emmanuil Sidorov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Sevastyan Kirshanin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emmanuil Sidorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Chekachev kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Emmanuil Sidorov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izhevsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emmanuil Sidorov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuil Sidorov in the 92nd minute of play forced Orsk's goalkeeper Sevastyan Kirshanin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Izhevsk's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Izhevsk may have spent more time on the ball, but Orsk were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
