Aleksandr Tretyakov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. Orsk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee ignored Armavir's protests and gave Arkadiy Petuhov a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 44th minute of the game. One of Armavir:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Orsk:s goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arseniy Yan to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Orsk's goalkeeper Sergey Panov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Velimir Krutohvostov. The Armavir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
