Emmanuil Kozlov was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Almetyevsk's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuil Kozlov in the 9th minute of play forced Saransk FC's goalkeeper Rudolf Saburov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petr Kalinin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rudolf Saburov firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Saransk FC's Maksim Astrakhanskiy got a free kick in the 12th minute. Kir Chernyavskiy was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Almetyevsk booed when Saransk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kliment Dovlatov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Petr Kalinin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Petr Kalinin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Rudolf Saburov made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afanasiy Tereshkov in the 22nd minute of play forced Almetyevsk's goalkeeper Konstantin Bashirov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arseniy Chuchalin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Konstantin Bashirov. Almetyevsk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Saransk FC's Ippolit Bagrov sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Konstantin Bashirov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Konstantin Bashirov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afanasiy Tereshkov in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Petr Kalinin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 39 minutes into the game, Emmanuil Kozlov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rudolf Saburov. Emmanuil Kozlov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emmanuil Kozlov was the one to do the kick off. Petr Kalinin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Saburov having to interfere. Emmanuil Kozlov scored 2-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudolf Saburov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Afanasiy Tereshkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Konstantin Bashirov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ippolit Bagrov came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Saransk FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ippolit Bagrov couldn't finish the play. After 77 played minutes Saransk FC got a freekick which was hit by Klim Ignatov. After a rather tough play, Saransk FC's Egor Abdurakhmanov got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 84th minute, Kir Chernyavskiy sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Saransk FC's Rudolf Saburov didn't even have to move. Petr Kalinin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Emmanuil Kozlov came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Almetyevsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmanuil Kozlov couldn't finish the play. Gleb Protoklitov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Almetyevsk's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
