When Gennadiy Ignatiev fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novocheboksarsk FC's protests and gave Gennadiy Ignatiev a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Gennadiy Ignatiev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Grozny's Rasul Baburin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Parfen Losev made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Valentin Ananov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Novocheboksarsk FC's Velimir Orekhov in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Yakov Rusakov might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vladimir Ilyin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yakov Rusakov ran back to his position shaking his head. Velimir Orekhov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Grozny's zone, Velimir Orekhov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Ilyin came out of the goal and Velimir Orekhov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yakov Rusakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Vladimir Ilyin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Rasul Baburin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Ananov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Parfen Losev having to interfere. Valentin Ananov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Parfen Losev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After a rather tough play, Novocheboksarsk FC's Maksim Chanov got a free kick in the 51st minute. Parfen Losev acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Vladimir Dovlatov. A collision led to Grozny getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ruslan Kosinskiy hit a great ball. After 58 played minutes Novocheboksarsk FC got a freekick which was hit by Velimir Orekhov. If Kirill Leonidov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute of the match, Rasul Baburin got a very nice opportunity to score, but Parfen Losev was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Novocheboksarsk FC's zone, Rasul Baburin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Parfen Losev came out of the goal and Rasul Baburin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Velimir Orekhov hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grozny's zone, Yakov Rusakov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Ilyin came out of the goal and Yakov Rusakov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valentin Ananov struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Parfen Losev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grozny. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grozny had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
