After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Askold Zubinskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Syktyvkar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Askold Zubinskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilya Babichenko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 6 minutes into the game, Afanasiy Maksimov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Balakovo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Syktyvkar FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Balakovo's Afanasiy Maksimov got a free kick in the 7th minute. Ilya Babichenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georgiy Drozd in the 8th minute. If Vladislav Nidergaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniil Zobov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladislav Nidergaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ilya Babichenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Georgiy Drozd in the 18th minute. If Askold Zubinskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Ilya Babichenko managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Syktyvkar FC's Georgiy Drozd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 28 minutes into the game, David Shashkov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Syktyvkar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balakovo the free kick. A collision led to Syktyvkar FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. David Shashkov hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Balakovo's goal looked a bit too open when Askold Zubinskiy came free, but Ilya Babichenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Filipp Strizhko fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Syktyvkar FC's protests and gave Filipp Strizhko a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 played minutes Syktyvkar FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipp Strizhko. Daniil Zobov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladislav Nidergaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Georgiy Drozd recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anton Filimonenkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Askold Zubinskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilya Babichenko having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Georgiy Drozd's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilya Babichenko was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. Anton Filimonenkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Daniil Zobov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Danil Kamyshinskiy during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Danil Kamyshinskiy hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Stanislav Nikitin sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Syktyvkar FC's Daniil Zobov didn't even have to move. If Anton Filimonenkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Vladislav Nidergaus fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Daniil Zobov, passed just outside the right post. 75 minutes into the match, Syktyvkar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Filimonenkov came free, but Daniil Zobov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniil Zobov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Filimonenkov in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Syktyvkar FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mikhail Yakushenko hit a great ball. In the 82ndth minute of the game Anton Filimonenkov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Syktyvkar FC's Daniil Zobov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Daniil Zobov made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Vladislav Nidergaus sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 86 in the game by Vladislav Nidergaus from a close distance when the talented Daniil Zobov managed to make a qualified save. Syktyvkar FC's players were relieved. In the 89th minute, Anton Filimonenkov fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Daniil Zobov, passed just outside the right post. Anton Filimonenkov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Balakovo players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Syktyvkar FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
