Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Klim Zhdanov got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Arnold Leonisov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Surgut's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sochi FC the free kick. After 6 played minutes Surgut got a freekick which was hit by Arnold Leonisov. When Sochi FC's Nikita Klementev in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Surgut's goalie prevented a goal. Nikolay Chernov came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Sochi FC's Nikita Klementev. But to his dismay, Nikita Klementev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Sochi FC's Vasiliy Olminskiy got a free kick in the 16th minute. Nikolay Chernov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stepan Hrapkovskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Nikita Klementev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Timofey Vinogradov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Boris Gryziy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Surgut's Timofey Vinogradov came free and shot a quick shot against goal 29 minutes in the game, fortunately Boris Gryziy had problems saving as it came toward the left post. 34 minutes into the match, Sochi FC's goalkeeper Boris Gryziy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Timofey Vinogradov. After a defensive mix-up in Sochi FC's zone, Klim Zhdanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boris Gryziy came out of the goal and Klim Zhdanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sochi FC's Boris Gryziy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Sochi FC from getting a goal against them. Valentin Ptichenko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nikolay Chernov. Surgut's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Vasiliy Olminskiy's late challenge caught a Surgut's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasiliy Olminskiy helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sochi FC's Vasiliy Olminskiy got a free kick in the 55th minute. Klim Zhdanov scored 1-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boris Gryziy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 69th minute Ivan Simonov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolay Chernov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nikita Klementev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stepan Hrapkovskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Surgut getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Arnold Leonisov hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Nikita Klementev got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With his leg Nikolay Chernov managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Sochi FC's Stepan Hrapkovskiy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stepan Hrapkovskiy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Nikolay Chernov made a huge save. Boris Gryziy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klim Zhdanov, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Surgut's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
