Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fedor Pancheshnyi kicked off to start the match. Fedor Pancheshnyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marat Sychev having to interfere. If Oleg Vildeev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Danil Pavlov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ulyanovsk HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tambov the free kick. Danil Pavlov hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th match minute, Tambov was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oleg Vildeev to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Pavel Venglinskiy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marat Sychev showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 18 played minutes, Ulyanovsk HC's Konstantin Kostikov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gerasim Nedelko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ulyanovsk HC reached it. After 23 minutes of play Ulyanovsk HC's Danil Pavlov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Danil Pavlov kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Igor Egorov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Tambov's goalkeeper Gerasim Nedelko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Egorov. Fedor Pancheshnyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oleg Vildeev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oleg Vildeev in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marat Sychev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oleg Vildeev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marat Sychev having to interfere. 48 minutes into the match, Tambov's goalkeeper Gerasim Nedelko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Igor Egorov. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Igor Egorov was the one to do the kick off. Gerasim Nedelko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Egorov in the 55th minute of the match. Oleg Vildeev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Marat Sychev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes, Tambov's Yuliy Suhanov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marat Sychev came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tambov reached it. 62 minutes into the match, Ulyanovsk HC's goal looked a bit too open when Fedor Pancheshnyi came free, but Marat Sychev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marat Sychev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fedor Pancheshnyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The supporters of Ulyanovsk HC booed when Tambov was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oleg Vildeev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulyanovsk HC's Marat Sychev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedor Pancheshnyi in the 69th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Ulyanovsk HC got a freekick which was hit by David Dubov. If Igor Egorov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marat Sychev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedor Pancheshnyi in the 76th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Igor Egorov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute, Irakliy Kurdyukov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oleg Vildeev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 95th minute by Fedor Pancheshnyi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Thanks to some nice moves Oleg Vildeev could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Marat Sychev however easily saved by the left post. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
