Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Volzhsky's Veniamin Zuev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pavel Cheyukov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuriy Bogorodskiy, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Boris Gostev came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Volzhsky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Gostev couldn't finish the play. Dmitriy Novoselov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veniamin Zuev in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Krasnodar FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Aleksandr Rozhkov hit a great ball. Vladislav Skobinov's late challenge caught a Volzhsky's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladislav Skobinov helped the player get up and apologised. In the 16th match minute, Krasnodar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladislav Skobinov to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Volzhsky's German Noskov tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Veniamin Zuev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 21 minutes, Boris Gostev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Volzhsky's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boris Gostev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krasnodar FC:s Dmitriy Novoselov showed great skill when he stopped German Noskov:s penalty. 25 minutes into the match, German Noskov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dmitriy Novoselov. Krasnodar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that German Noskov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Yuriy Egotov came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Volzhsky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuriy Egotov couldn't finish the play. After 31 played minutes Volzhsky got a freekick which was hit by Yuriy Egotov. Oleg Chekshin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Boris Gostev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuriy Bogorodskiy made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Yuriy Bogorodskiy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boris Gostev might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dmitriy Novoselov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boris Gostev ran back to his position shaking his head. Dmitriy Novoselov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Gostev, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Krasnodar FC's Oleg Chekshin got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dmitriy Novoselov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Veniamin Zuev in the 80th minute of the match. After 80 minutes of play Krasnodar FC's Vladislav Skobinov was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Krasnodar FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Vladislav Skobinov hit a great ball. Veniamin Zuev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dmitriy Novoselov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Dmitriy Novoselov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Veniamin Zuev in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Krasnodar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Veniamin Zuev came free, but Dmitriy Novoselov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Veniamin Zuev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Volzhsky's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
