Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pavel Pautov took the kick off in the first half of the match. Novokuznetsk's Pavel Oboldin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Novokuznetsk from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Roman Gromov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Novokuznetsk's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Gromov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikolay Samohin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Novotroitsk's Vitaliy Evsikov got a free kick in the 11th minute. The supporters of Novotroitsk booed when Novokuznetsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavel Timohin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Timofey Burov's late challenge caught a Novotroitsk's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Timofey Burov helped the player get up and apologised. Vadim Susloparov was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Yakov Bitov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Pavel Oboldin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 27th minute, Timofey Burov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yakov Bitov struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Pavel Oboldin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Novotroitsk. In the 31st match minute, Novotroitsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitaliy Evsikov to maneuver through the defense. Pavel Oboldin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Pautov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Valentin Tupikin came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Novokuznetsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Tupikin couldn't finish the play. 39 minutes into the game, Oleg Kudryavtsev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Novotroitsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Novokuznetsk the free kick. After 39 played minutes Novotroitsk got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Kudryavtsev. In the 45th minute, Valentin Tupikin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 47th minute when Valentin Tupikin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valentin Tupikin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Novokuznetsk getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Platon Alferov hit a great ball. After having played for 55 minutes, Pavel Pautov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novotroitsk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Pautov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Pavel Pautov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavel Oboldin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pavel Pautov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Oboldin having to interfere. Leonid Bilibin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Nikolay Samohin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pavel Oboldin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oleg Kudryavtsev in the 82nd minute of the match. Leonid Bilibin charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonid Bilibin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Novokuznetsk getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Leonid Bilibin hit a great ball. Valentin Tupikin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Nikolay Samohin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klim Vasenin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Novotroitsk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Tupikin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Novokuznetsk had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
