The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fedor Krasilnikov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Volgograd HC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Mikhail Tromonin hit a great ball. Fedor Krasilnikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Roman Nikolaev made a huge save. Fedor Krasilnikov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Nikolaev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play.
