Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vladikavkaz FC's Lyubomir Afanasev started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Pavel Cheranev managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when Voronezh HC's Fedor Artakov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Vladikavkaz FC's Andrey Fedotov got a free kick in the 4th minute. Fedor Artakov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pavel Cheranev having to interfere. In the 8th match minute, Voronezh HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fedor Artakov to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Vladikavkaz FC's zone, Lavrentiy Shloma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pavel Cheranev came out of the goal and Lavrentiy Shloma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 12th match minute, Vladikavkaz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Kushkin to maneuver through the defense. When Efim Puzikov came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Vladikavkaz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efim Puzikov couldn't finish the play. If Lavrentiy Shloma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute, Varlam Savin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fedor Artakov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Pavel Cheranev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Lavrentiy Shloma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Voronezh HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lavrentiy Shloma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladikavkaz FC's Pavel Cheranev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lavrentiy Shloma in the 33rd minute of play. Fedor Artakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Kushkin in the 47th minute of play forced Voronezh HC's goalkeeper Mark Shvedov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 49 minutes into the match, Voronezh HC's goal looked a bit too open when Lyubomir Afanasev came free, but Mark Shvedov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

57 minutes into the game, one of Vladikavkaz FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vladikavkaz FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Voldemar Stasyuk was slow to take the kick. During this time Voronezh HC's players had a chance to rest. Sergey Antoshin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Sergey Antoshin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute of the match Parfen Burov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pavel Cheranev skillfully saved the ball. Vladikavkaz FC's Pavel Cheranev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lavrentiy Shloma in the 65th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Voronezh HC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Efim Puzikov fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A collision led to Voronezh HC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Varlam Savin hit a great ball. Mark Shvedov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyubomir Afanasev, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Mikhail Makarichev hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Lavrentiy Shloma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lavrentiy Shloma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, Lyubomir Afanasev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th match minute, Voronezh HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stepan Kudrin to maneuver through the defense. Lyubomir Afanasev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Mark Shvedov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mark Shvedov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Efim Puzikov in the 99th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
