Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Vitaliy Vityazev made the kick off which started today's match. 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Denis Belyavskiy elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vitaliy Vityazev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Innokentiy Yakunin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Artem Chevychelov made a huge save. Denis Belyavskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Innokentiy Yakunin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Kirov fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Innokentiy Yakunin couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Denis Belyavskiy in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artem Chevychelov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vitaliy Vityazev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stepan Inzhutov having to interfere. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kirov's goalkeeper Stepan Inzhutov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vitaliy Vityazev might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stepan Inzhutov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitaliy Vityazev ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Kaluga's zone, Innokentiy Yakunin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artem Chevychelov came out of the goal and Innokentiy Yakunin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filimon Lihach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Stepan Inzhutov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Vitaliy Vityazev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stepan Inzhutov was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 44 played minutes Kaluga got a freekick which was hit by Leonid Noskov. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Belyavskiy to strike the kick off in the second half. Kaluga's Artem Chevychelov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Innokentiy Yakunin in the 52nd minute of play. Mikhail Kurnev charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mikhail Kurnev the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitaliy Vityazev's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Stepan Inzhutov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Vitaliy Vityazev struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Stepan Inzhutov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kaluga. Stepan Inzhutov was a little too slow when Filimon Lihach got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 1-1. After 78 played minutes, Kaluga's Aleksandr Mihin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stepan Inzhutov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kaluga reached it. After a rather tough play, Kaluga's Gerasim Vorobiev got a free kick in the 81st minute. Denis Belyavskiy took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artem Chevychelov. Artem Chevychelov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Innokentiy Yakunin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Igor Puzanov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Kaluga players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kirov.
