In the 10th minute Igor Bragin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artem Chevychelov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Kaluga getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lev Kilin hit a great ball. Vitaliy Vityazev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Artem Chevychelov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zinoviy Isakov's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Konstantin Suhinov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitaliy Vityazev, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Zinoviy Isakov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Kaluga getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leonid Noskov hit a great ball. Igor Bragin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Kaluga's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Bragin came free, but Artem Chevychelov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitaliy Vityazev made a kick off. If Vitaliy Vityazev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Vitaliy Vityazev put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Konstantin Suhinov. Vitaliy Vityazev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Konstantin Suhinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Igor Bragin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zinoviy Isakov scored 1-1 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artem Chevychelov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ilya Ionochkin during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Konstantin Suhinov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitaliy Vityazev's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Kaluga's Vitaliy Vityazev got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kaluga booed when Grozny FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ilya Ionochkin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Bragin hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 86 minutes in the game, Vitaliy Vityazev dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 90th minute Vitaliy Vityazev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstantin Suhinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitaliy Vityazev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Konstantin Suhinov having to interfere. If Vitaliy Vityazev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
