After a rather tough play, Novocherkassk FC's Tihon Mazurin got a free kick in the 4th minute. 5 minutes into the game, Tihon Mazurin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Novocherkassk FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yoshkar-Ola FC the free kick. After 9 played minutes Novocherkassk FC got a freekick which was hit by Yakov Umyantsov. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduard Fendrih during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Novocherkassk FC. Stanislav Maimulov stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ruslan Drozdov. 1-1. The audience was convinced that Ivan Zheronkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruslan Drozdov was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Egor Semenov had great luck who in the 20thth minute grab hold of the ball when Irakliy Mikhailov from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After having played for 28 minutes, Egor Geit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Yoshkar-Ola FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Egor Geit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Zheronkin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ruslan Drozdov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Yoshkar-Ola FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Zheronkin came free, but Ruslan Drozdov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Vyacheslav Gorskiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vyacheslav Gorskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruslan Drozdov having to interfere.

The wind increased when Irakliy Mikhailov made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Sergey Maskov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduard Fendrih didn't quite understand what happened when in the 53 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Ivan Zheronkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruslan Drozdov having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Ivan Zheronkin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novocherkassk FC and the Yoshkar-Ola FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Ivan Zheronkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Egor Geit received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Egor Semenov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktor Ozerin's late challenge caught a Yoshkar-Ola FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viktor Ozerin helped the player get up and apologised. Egor Semenov had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Eduard Fendrih's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 68th minute, Irakliy Mikhailov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egor Geit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Egor Semenov having to make a save. Vyacheslav Gorskiy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruslan Drozdov having to interfere. Yoshkar-Ola FC's Ruslan Drozdov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Yoshkar-Ola FC from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Irakliy Mikhailov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egor Semenov was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. The supporters of Yoshkar-Ola FC booed when Novocherkassk FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanislav Maimulov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Egor Semenov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irakliy Mikhailov, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Egor Semenov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irakliy Mikhailov in the 90th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
